Cette œuvre explore la rupture diasporique et le sentiment d’enfermement à travers les éléments culturels qui habitent et façonnent l’espace domestique. Le foyer devient à la fois un lieu d’ancrage, de mémoire et de transmission, mais aussi un espace où peuvent se manifester les tensions liées au déplacement, à l’appartenance et à l’identité. Les objets, motifs et traditions qui composent cet univers domestique portent les traces d’un ailleurs tout en participant à la construction d’un ici. L’œuvre questionne ainsi la manière dont la culture s’inscrit dans nos espaces de vie et comment ceux-ci peuvent devenir à la fois refuge et lieu de contrainte.

This work explores diasporic rupture and a sense of confinement through cultural elements that inhabit and shape the domestic space. The home becomes both a place of anchoring, memory, and transmission, and a space where tensions around displacement, belonging, and identity can emerge. The objects, patterns, and traditions that make up this domestic environment carry traces of elsewhere while contributing to the construction of a sense of here. The work reflects on how culture becomes embedded in the spaces we inhabit, and how the home can simultaneously function as a refuge and a site of constraint.
